Week 10 (San Salvador el Seco) Spaghetti With Meat Sauce... My Favorite

Image
Hola a todas!     This past week was really good but also really difficult at the same time. Last p day we finally got to play some sports! We played soccer, basketball and volleyball. It was so fun to finally play sports!      Tuesday we were in a trio with one of the AP's Elder Covarrubias. He is dope and is a really good missionary. We ended up putting 5 people on date for baptism with him! One family of 4 and a reference. He taught me a lot and I learned so much.      Wednesday and Thursday we were in Puebla for a multi zone conference. It was really fun, we slept at the secretaries house, ate pizza,  and played UNO. Then Thursday was the conference. It was good but I didn't understand anything, so that's great, lol. Hopefully the next one we have I can actually understand more so I can give you all some wisdom haha. Thursday was also Thanksgiving but they don't celebrate it here so we didn't do anything for it. I did get to call my family so that was nice. I

Week 9 (San Salvador el Seco) I got a haircut...

Hello everyone, I Hope you all are doing good!      This week was probably the longest week and I am not really sure why. Monday for p-day I had to spend the day in Puebla at the immigration office to change my address. So that kinda sucked. We also spent the night at another Elders apartment that night and surprised one of them with a cake for their birthday.       Not much happened this past week but the biggest thing was having to get a haircut. We get a video call from our Mission Presidents wife and she said I had to get a haircut. I was fine with that and was thinking I would just get a trim, but we got to the barbershop, she starts cutting the sides and it looks really good. Then she says something but I didn't understand her so my comp then says something to her. I have no idea what is going on and then all of a sudden she starts cutting the top super short. The haircut ends up being super bad, and uneven. I got pretty mad at my comp. So the next day we go to a different ba

Week 8 (San Salvador el Seco) Forget yourself and get to work

Hola!     This past week went so fast, its crazy it is already my p day again. Last p day my district came to my area to spend their p day with my comp and I. We also made a big pile of mattresses and blankets and slept in the study area haha. I also gave my first blessing last week! It was to my comp and he wasn't feeling well so I anointed  and blessed him. It was a very cool experience and he let me do it in English . Then in the same week I anointed  2 more people.      Missionary work wise, it was a pretty difficult week. No one would accept the Book of Mormon, everyone kept canceling lessons so it was really tough. During a lesson we taught this older Latino  lady, she ended up feeling the spirit so much she started to cry and even though I didn't understand much I started to cry to. I ended up sharing my testimony at the end and she teared up again. I can testify to you all that the power of the Holy Ghost is real and can work miracles. That same lady ended up going to

Week 7 (San Salvador el Seco) FINALLY IN THE MISSION FIELD!!! (and loving it!!!)

My first week in the field was awesome but also tough. I left the MTC at 5 am last Monday to head to Puebla. Traveling was super easy and went a lot smoother than I thought it would. I got to Puebla and 4 other missionaries and my mission President along with his wife were there to greet us. I love the way Latinos greet each other they shake hands, then hug and then shake hands again. We then put all of our bags and suitcases in the back of a truck then head to the Mission Presidents home. The city is super nice and their house is even more nice. They have a personal chef haha! We introduced ourselves (in Spanish  of course) talked a bit about missionary work and what their responsibility  is as Mission President. Then we ate lunch. We had a lot of tacos and this traditional desert which was super good, but I don't know the name of it. We also took some pictures as well. After all that we squeezed into one car and headed to the mission office to meet our new companions. They w
