Week 36 (Huamantla, Tlaxcala, Mexico) ¡Conferencia Multizona!

Image
¡Hola a todos!     This week was definitely not how I wanted it to go. Pday was just another normal pday, nothing happened lol.     This week missionary work went downhill but a lot of it wasn't our fault. Everyone kept on canceling, either at the last moment or a little bit before. We had companion exchanges so we didn't get to work at all in our area and the conference we had was good but we missed half the day for that. We ended up finding 3 new people to teach, we gave out 19 Books of Mormon, we invited 1 person to be baptized, accepted but didn't go to church, we had 10 lessons and 6 people we are teaching went to church. It was still a good week but this upcoming week we are definitely going to work a lot harder and do better.      This conference we had was probably one of my favorites. Mainly because I am at the point with Spanish where I can pretty much understand everything and because I learned a lot. I definitely know now that my mission President is called of

Week 35 (Huamantla, Tlaxcala, Mexico) ¡Bautismo, Método para Encontrar!

Image
¡Hola mis amigos!     Another really good week here in Huamantla! Another pday where not much happened during the actual pday lol. During the district council we practiced contacting/giving out Books of Mormon to the whole bus. Basically talking to everyone at the front of the bus while it is moving. It was the most nerve racking thing ever but I did it. Unfortunately no one wanted a book but being able to do that made my confidence skyrocket, not in a bad way though lol. (Video will be included)     Missionary work was so good. We ended up finding 15 new people to teach, gave out 17 Books of Mormon, invited 7 people to be baptized, all accepted, 8 people we are teaching came to church, and we had 1 baptism!! Such a good week for us but everyone can always do a little bit better every week so we are going to work even harder this week! One lesson we had this week really showed me why we need to teach with power and authority. One day during the week we knocked on someone's door a

Week 34 (Huamantla, Tlaxcala, Mexico) ¡Cambios de emergencia parte 2!🦖🥩👋 (Emergency Transferred Again)

Hola a todos!     As you can tell by the title I can emergency transferred  again! It all happened last pday. The day was a normal pday, nothing crazy happened until the very end of the day. When I say the end of the day I literally mean the end of the day. At 10:30pm, which is the time we are supposed to go to bed, we got a call from the zones leaders and were like "We have news Elders. Elder Bailey is getting transferred  and Elder Hertzler you will be receiving Elder Pack". We were in shock because usually the President calls before hand and when they asked if we already knew about it and when we said no they were like "Oh, well know you do so better start packing Elder Bailey because you have to leave first thing in the morning". So Basically I didn't sleep that night because I had to pack all night. It was also really sad because I didn't  get to say goodbye to any of the members just like the first time I got emergency transferred . Luckily I was abl

Week 33 (Los Alamos, Puebla, Mexico) Great day to be a servant of the Lord!

¡Hola mis amigos!     This week was such a good week but was still a lowkey week. Pday was just another normal pday like every other week. Nothing to talk about for that day.      Missionary work was even better this week compared to last week! We ended up giving out  40 Books of Mormon, we found 14 new people to teach, 14 people we are teaching showed up to church and we had 18 lessons! It was so awesome to have all that happen. One cool thing that happened during the week was that we were walking on the street Wednesday trying to give out some Books of Mormon. There was this family of 4 walking back home from school and we both had an impression to go talk to them. We ended up walking and talking with them all the way to their house and randomly let us in! We read 3 Nephi 11 with them and taught a little about the chapter. At the end of the lesson we gave them each a Book of Mormon and asked if they would like it if we came back another day to teach them. They said yes! It was such

Week 32 (Los Alamos, Puebla, Mexico) Bautismo!! (Baptism!!)

Image
Hola!!     Another really good week here in Alamos! Pday was normal, so nothing crazy happened. Good day to get some rest though.     This week's missionary work was so good! We gave out 31 Books of Mormon, had 16 lessons, 11 people we are teaching went to church, and we had 2 baptisms! If you have been following my updates you know we have been trying to help a family. Having that baptism yesterday helped so much with that because now the parents/grandparents just need to be baptized and the family will be together forever!!      Thursday we had a multi-zone conference in Puebla. It was a really good conference, I learned a lot but something pretty embarrassing happened after. We were leaving the building to go take a taxi back to our area because we had 2 boxes of Books of Mormons and a package mama sent me. I had to readjust holding 2 of the boxes and as I went to go pick them up again I heard a ripping sound. I was like "There is no way that just happened" but it di
