Week 14 (San Salvador el Seco) Tanto Viajar (So Much Traveling)

Image
Hola!     It feels like I just wrote my last email yesterday. This week went by so fast. Last week we traveled so much I only slept in my bed 3 times. Monday, Thursday and Saturday. Last pday was good but also a little boring. We played soccer at a little stadium we found in my area but I forgot  to take a picture. Then we just went back to our apartment to call our families.      The rest of the week was filled with hanging with members  because missionary work was almost impossible. Only because we were in Puebla for most of the week. We left for Puebla on Tuesday and didn't get back until Thursday morning. Also on the way to Puebla we were on a bus with TV's  and they ended up playing the movie Venom, so I got to watch a movie! Wednesday was the missions Christmas activity and was really fun. We spent the day playing games, eating tamales, singing and listening to an awesome devotional by our mission President and his family. At the end of the day they gifted everyone with

Week 13 (San Salvador el Seco) Christmas time in El Seco

¡Hola amigos!     This past week was good and fast but also a little difficult. Last p-day we didn't do much, only played soccer and basketball, went to an Internet café to look at my Facebook finally haha, and have our district council. Pretty chill day.      On Tuesday we had interviews in person with Presidente Montejo and Hermana Montejo. Those went really well but they took pretty much the whole day so we didn't get to do much missionary work.      The rest of the week was honestly pretty boring so this email will probably be a little short. We mostly spent the week going to members homes to share a message about the birth of Jesus Christ and sing some Christmas songs for them. One moment in particular that was really special was when we were singing for a family and we made the mom of the family cry which almost made me cry. I know it was special because she felt the spirit so strongly that night and I did too. The song we sang was Canto de Navidad and we sang the verses

Week 12 (San Salvador el Seco) My first time getting food poisoning 🤢

¡Que pasa a todos!      This week was my least favorite week out of my entire mission so far. It was awful, mainly because last p-day I got food poisoning. I threw up everything I ate after our district council around 7:30pm then in the middle of the night around 3:15, I threw up again. Also after I threw up that second time, my companion gave me a blessing. I kid you not, right after he got done saying the blessing he ran straight to the toilet and just started throwing up so much. It's like he took a demon right out of me and put it upon himself. Even weirder is that he was completely fine before and after. I am pretty sure I got sick from the two quesadillas I ate that morning from a street vendor and I don't think I will be eating a quesadilla anytime soon. Luckily , in Libres they have this really good doctor with a lot of experience. It was pretty much just a normal doctors visit until he did an ultrasound thing on my stomach to see if everything was okay. It was a litt

Week 11 (San Salvador el Seco) ¿Habla Inglés?

Hola, otra vez!     This past week was one of the fastest weeks ever! Last p-day was probably the least fun p-dat we had mainly because I wasn't in a good mood. Other than not being in a good mood it was still nice to take a rest from the work.      Missionary work was really good but also not really good. We street contacted 49 people last week and out of that 49, 26 accepted a Book of Mormon! I have gotten a lot better at contacting although some people are hard to understand, so that is when I am really grateful to have a comp who understands mostly everyone and everything. Lesson wise was not great. Every time we had an appointment they would either not answer or not be home when they said they would be or they would cancel at the last minute. It also doesn't help that the people/families doing all that are the ones with a baptism date.      As you all know learning Spanish is really difficult for me but this week I really saw a difference in my Spanish even though I am r
