Week 31 (Los Alamos, Puebla, Mexico) Patience is a virtue

Image
¡Hola a todos!     This week went by so fast, it was crazy! Once again for pday we pretty much did the same exact thing as all the other normal pdays lol.     Missionary work was so good, but at the beginning of the week it looked like it wasn't going to be. We ended up finding 9 new people to teach, gave out 22 Books of Mormon, taught 12 lessons, had 9 people show up to church that we are teaching and invited 12 people to be baptized and they all accepted! The miracle that happened is that on Saturday basically all of that happened. We found 6 people, invited like 7 to be baptized, and at night something amazing happened. All this past week we were trying so hard to have the baptismal interview with this one guy but his hours of work are crazy. Today he wasn't in a good mood and he is in the military so he is serious anyways. But at like 9:30pm he was like "I want my interview now". That was actually crazy to see that text from him and I'm not gonna lie I didn&

Week 30 (Los Alamos, Puebla, Mexico) Getting offered an a "Drink"

¡¡Hola!!     Pretty boring week not gonna lie. Not much happened and another slow week for missionary work. Didn't do anything for pday so I can't really talk about pday lol.     Missionary work was slow this week again. We were supposed to have a baptism but didn't happen because her husband wants to get baptized together with his wife so it isn't a bad situation. It should happen next week though! We had like 30 contacts, only gave out 7 Book of Mormons, had like 15 lessons 6 out of the 15 we had 6 members join us but literally no one went to church. When I say no one I mean no one. Our goal is to have 15 people we are teaching go to church but no one showed up. At least Diana, the most recent convert, who I baptized is doing really well so that's good. Don't worry though we are working really hard and will do better this week!     Now I will explain the title lol. On Friday we were heading to a member's house to have a family home evening with them and

Week 29 (Los Alamos, Puebla, Mexico) ¡Feliz Pascua! (Happy Easter!)

¡Hola a todos!     Like most of the weeks I have had, this one wasn't as good. I did have a good pday last week though. We went to this place called Parque Puebla, basically just a huge mall lol. We played bowling, ate Burger King and got Dairy Queen! It was a lot of fun and I forgot how much I missed Dairy Queen.     This week was pretty hard for missionary work. No one was home and everyone kept canceling our citas, it was quite annoying. It was because this week was Easter and even though Easter is about Jesus Christ, no one wanted to talk about it. We are supposed to have a baptism this Sunday so yesterday we had the baptismal interview for her and she is ready!     I also got sick Friday, Saturday and Sunday which was not fun at all. I got so sick my body wouldn't let me get out of bed Saturday because every time I tried I almost fainted. So I ended up staying in bed until like 12. It was fine though because I didn't sleep at all the night before. So now I am taking

Week 28 (Los Alamos, Puebla, Mexico) General Conference!

¡Que pasa mis amigos!     Another fast week down! The weeks just keep going faster and faster especially if we are working a lot. Last pday didn't really do anything just the usual , but after district council my comp felt like he was going to puke! So I had to call a member to come pick us up. It probably took 30 minutes for someone to finally pick up their phone. Someone eventually came to pick us up haha. When we got home he went to bed on the bathroom floor lol.      Missionary work this week was really good as well. We had 15 people we are teaching watch conference, found 9 new people to teach, had 17 lessons and 10 of then with members and gave out 15 Books of Mormon! Another really good week for the work! During a lesson last week I had the opportunity to share a scripture my Dad shared with me, to a person we are teaching. It was such a cool experience and I can't even tell you what I said because I don't remember lol. That just means the spirit was talking! Also
