Week 27 (Los Alamos, Puebla, Mexico) !Hace Calor¡ (It's HOT!)
¡Hola mis amigos!
Another fast and good week! For pday we didn't do much but I finally used the football my Mom sent me lol. I also had the opportunity to give a blessing to one of the new Hermana's in my district. It was very special and very spirit filled. That is pretty much all that happened pday haha.
We had another really good week for Missionary Work. This past week we found 15 new people to teach, gave out 16 Books of Mormon, invited 4 people to be baptized and all 4 accepted, we had 24 lessons 6 with members and had 11 people go to church yesterday! Safe to say we had a really good week. I am also starting to see how much my Spanish has grown, especially during lessons. I can basically understand everything and teach all the lessons. There will be times where I will misunderstand people though haha. During lunch with our Bishop, his wife asked me "Que pienso sobre el corro" I don't remember if she exactly said that but it means how do you think the choir did mas o menos. I thought she said "Que pienso sobre el calor" which means what do you think about the heat. So yeah I just ended up talking about the weather instead of the choir lol.
This past week was so hot. Everyday I sweat probably over a gallon. There will be times when I take off my backpack and you can just see the outline of sweat from my bag. Then getting home after finishing the day it will be very hard to change out of my proselyting clothes. I also have been sleeping without a blanket and I get hot during the night anyways so with this heat does not help at all.
On Wednesday we had companion exchanges with the zone leaders. We had a really good day, gave out 6 Books of Mormon and had quite a bit of lessons. We also had 2 lessons where we taught them in the very first contact! It was actually really cool that we could just start off talking about the Book of Mormon and then end up teaching a whole lesson. Made me feel like a missionary lol.
I feel like there is more that happened but I honestly don't remember haha. So I will just end it right here. Thank you all for reading and have a good week!
Keep sending me emails, I love hearing what is going on with your lives!
Con mucho amor,
Elder Bailey
