Elder Zach Bailey's Puebla Mexico Mission

  Hola mis amigos,     Pretty good week here in La Libertad. We had another normal pday pretty much doing nothing.     Missionary work was good but could have been better. We ended up finding 12 new people to teach, gave out 24 BOMs, contacted over 50 people, taught 8 lessons, and no one went to church:( It was a good week, and we found a family of 5 and said they were going to go to church but backed out at the last second.      Last Friday was crazy. That day we found 6 new people teach and a crazy hail storm happened. It literally looked like it had snowed. Reminded me of home during the winter. We ended up helping shovel the hail. It was pretty fun jaja.      President also came to our house, together with the ZLs and we moved some fridges and washing machines that were in another room in our house that is being used as a storage place for the mission.      The family of 5 we found is also really interested in lea...

  Hola mis amigos     Good week here in La Libertad, well mas o menos. We got work done but because of the dedication a lot of the members weren't home and kept on canceling on us. Also so many of the lessons we had planned didn't happen because they canceled on us. A little difficult but its normal, happens all the time, just this week a little more than usual. Pday was just another normal pday jaja.     This week for missionary work we found 10 new people to teach, we gave out 25 BOMs, contacted over 50 people, taught 10 lessons, no one was able to go to church because we didn't have it because of the dedication and that's really it. Hoping for a better week this week.      Elder Gong came to dedicate the temple and it was really dope. Wasn't able to meet him or anything but being a part of it was a cool experience. We now have a full operating temple here in Puebla, pretty crazy!     Other than the dedication nothing crazy really happ...

  Hola mis amigos     Another good week here en La Libertad 2. Last pday was just a normal chill pday, nothin crazy.     This week for missionary work was a lot better. Finally got into our groove. We ended up finding 13 new people to teach, taught 16 lessons, 6 out of those 16 were with a member participating, contacted over 60 people, gave out 29 BOMs, had 2 of our friends go to church, which were refs from a member and we had a baptism!! It was a really good week.      The baptism was great. Rosa Linda was ready since the first lesson. Such an escogida. She was so emotional and the spirit was so strong. She also asked me if I could baptize her. What an honor. It is such a special blessing to be able to help one of Gods children find the correct path back home, to our real home. I love missionary work.      Elder Young my new comp is getting used to the mission just fine and I love how he has no fear and not afraid to make mistake...

  Hola mis amigos     Last week was pretty crazy. For pday we went to centro with 4 other Elders in our zone. I bought some ties and new pants because something funny and pretty embarrassing happened while we were there. I was going to buy pants anyways so I went to go try some on just to see but turns out that I ripped my pants without even knowing jaja. Who knows how long I was walking around like that jajaja. I didn't like the pants I tried on so we hurried to another store and bought some nice stretchy dress pants jaja. It was pretty funny not gonna lie.     We also had transfers last week. We got a call Wednesday morning from Presidente! He called both of us as trainers! Its my third time training and I forgot how much I love it. 12 out of the 14 missionaries that arrived are American so my chances of training an American were very high. To my surprise I am training an American jaja. My new companion who I am training is Elder Young. He is from California, ...

  Hola mis amigos     Another good week here in La Libertad 2. Well kinda. We had a lot of success but literally no one was on the streets for some reason, it was weird but all good this week we will have a better week, even though transfers are this week and are going to be so crazy, we are still going to work jaja.     This week for missionary work was good but like I said, could have been better. We were only able to contact like 40 people, gave out 17 BOMs, found 6 new people to teach, taught 12 lessons and 6 of those with members and 2 of the people we are teaching came to church. Not bad, not bad.      We found a family of 5 who are all escogidos, weren't able to go to church last Sunday because they already had plans but they said they can come this coming Sunday. We have a lot of faith in Jesus Christ that they can be baptized in May.     We also had a mission wide conference which was pretty cool. Got to see a lot of old compani...

  Hola mis amigos     Another great week here in La Libertad. Pday last week was pretty boring because the other Elders didn't play spikeball so we had nothing to do jaja.      This week for missionary work could have been a lot better but was still good. We only found 2 new people to teach but they are escogidos and one already is baptized jaja, gave out 21 BOMs, only had 9 lessons but 6 out of the 9 were with a member participating, we had 4 people go to church and one of them will be getting baptized the 12th of may! It wad a good week especially since my comp and I had our first baptism together.      We found Matias last Monday and invited him to be baptized that same Friday and he accepted! He is a maquina jaja. Great kid. This week we might have another baptism so stay tuned jaja.      The open house of the temple ended last Saturday and we are finally starting to receive more references. Also now our ward is huge.   Hola mis amigos     As you can see I forgot to write again last week jaja. I will try and be better. We still play spikeball every pday for like 2-3 hours jaja. Never gets old.      Missionary work the past 2 weeks has been pretty good but I have also been sick so at the same time not so much. Over the past 2 weeks we have found over 12 new people to teach, taught over 30 lessons, also having members help us in the lessons, given out over 60 BOMs, contacted over 100 people, haven't had too much luck with people going to church but we are getting there.      The open house for the temple started as well and we have been talking as many people has we can so we can actually go but also to help in their conversion. We also had a special tour with Presidente and Hermana Montejo which was super cool. The spirit was so strong and the tour took over an hour jaja. It was an amazing experience.      I am also technically in a new area ...
